When does Automotics collect and process data?

Automotics collects and processes data about you when you call on us as a customer for your tools/services or contact us in any other way. If you are a supplier, your data or those of your contacts are processed in the context of these activities. Furthermore, as a customer or supplier, your data will be processed when invoices and other accounting documents are prepared. In some cases, we process your data with the intention of proposing our services to you (direct marketing). Finally, we may process data about you because it is or may be relevant to our operations, for example, in order to be able to call on your advice or services.

What data does Automotics collect and process?

It concerns the data that you communicate to us and that we need for the correct execution of your tool or other services for which you call upon us, such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, etc... and professional data, such as company name and VAT number, and all other data in that connection. Usually you provide us with this data directly, but it is also possible that we obtain this data from other parties. The data may also relate to your interests in, or plans for, future collaborations or related services. Financial data must be processed for accounting purposes. Data about your position and activities are processed as part of communications or public relations. We collect this data both when you complete our paper forms and when you do so electronically.

For what purposes does Automotics collect and process data?

We process this data for our customer management (the proper performance of your services or provision of related services or products and thus fulfillment of the contract we conclude with you), direct marketing, to inform you about the services we offer, supplier management, accounting and communication/public relations. As far as our websites are concerned, we tailor their content and ease of use to you, their users, as much as possible. In addition, we process your data to fulfill the obligations arising from the provision of a website and its content and to enable you to use the interactive applications and services on this website.

What are the bases for Automotics' processing of data?

In principle, we collect and process your data on the basis of the contractual relationship we have with you as a result of your order and the contract we enter into with you. This is also the basis for processing data on suppliers. Where processing is not necessary to carry out the contractual relationship, as in the case of direct marketing and communication, it is based on our legitimate interests as a company, in particular freedom of enterprise and information. In doing so, we always ensure that a balance exists between our and your interests, for example by granting you a right of objection.

Will the data be disclosed to third parties?

Your data are mainly processed internally for customer management and accounting purposes. They may be passed on to subcontractors we use. This is specifically the case for the proper execution of your vacation and possible related services for which you call upon us. They may be passed on for certain punctual services or assignments to subcontractors we use, though always under our control/under the control of Automotics. Sometimes we are required to pass on data about you. This is particularly the case when we are required to do so by law or when government agencies have the right to request data from us. In principle, your data will not be transferred to third countries or international organizations.

Your rights

If we process your data for direct marketing purposes, you may object at any time. Simply contact Automotics by telephone or e-mail. You can consult the data we process about you and, if necessary, have them corrected or deleted. To do this, simply request a request to info@automotics.be with proof of your identity. We request this in order to prevent your data from being disclosed to anyone who is not entitled to it.
